Compass Family Services creates a strong safety net for homeless and at-risk families by providing a broad continuum of services that help our clients find and maintain stable housing and build strong families. Compass' seven programs for families are:
Compass Connecting Point is the centralized assessment, counseling, and referral center for San Francisco families facing a housing crisis.
Compass Family Shelter provides homeless families with emergency shelter, supportive services, and long-term follow-up care. These services enable families to secure and maintain housing, improve their employment prospects, and address the underlying issues that contributed to their homelessness.
Compass SF HOME provides shallow rent subsidies, coupled with intensive support services, to eligible families. The program helps families in danger of homelessness to retain their housing and rapidly re-houses homeless families so that they can work towards long-term self-sufficiency.
Compass Family Resource Center helps homeless and at-risk parents build, strengthen and maintain healthy relationships with their children.
Compass Clara House offers transitional housing and comprehensive supportive services for homeless families. Families follow a rigorous, two-year program designed to teach them to live self-sufficiently.
Compass Children's Center provides early childhood care and education to homeless and extremely low-income infants, toddlers, and preschoolers. Nationally accredited, the facility is open year-round and offers a specialized curriculum as well as an array of support services for participating families.
Compass Clinical Services ensures that all staff have the clinical support and skills they need to effectively serve the complex client population, and provides psychotherapy to clients in need across the agency.
