Nuestro Consejo de Liderazgo

The purpose of the Compass Family Services Leadership Council is to engage young professionals interested in supporting Compass’ mission and work. The Council provides external perspective, professional advice, knowledge, and skills as well as advocacy and support for our agency's programs, strategic direction, and overall objectives. Through this council, we aim to broaden our reach to other communities and constituencies of support, increasing our influence and ultimately our impact.

Lauren leads the school's fundraising and communications efforts. Lauren has volunteered with Compass in various ways over the years, but it was the COVID-19 crisis and the devastating impact on families that compelled her to get more deeply involved.

Prior to joining Compass Leadership Council in January of 2017, Grace participated in Compass' corporate engagement events and volunteered individually at Compass Clara House. She is passionate about the importance of empowering at-risk families to reach stability through customized hands-on approaches.

Amy is a strong advocate in supporting systemic changes and developing solutions in ending homelessness in the Bay Area. She frequently works with patients experiencing housing instability and other social determinants of health. Amy joined Compass Leadership Council in 2023 whose mission aligns with her values and dream.

Claire is a Director in the iShares Americas COO team. She first became familiar with Compass through her work in BlackRock's philanthropy network and joined the Leadership Council in 2021.

Gabrielle is an investment professional on the Technology team at Permira Advisers. She also has served on the Associate Board at Minds Matter and volunteers with Little Brothers and Friends of the Elderly. Inspired by Compass' mission, she joined the Leadership Council in 2023.

Jenna is an investment professional on the Technology team at Permira Advisers. She is passionate about expanding access to physical, emotional, and environmental well-being within our communities. She also serves on the Associate Board at Minds Matter Bay Area and is a member of the Junior League of San Francisco.

Marisa helps lead various internal networks at BlackRock. Her passion is helping others and first learned about Compass through the internal philanthropy network at BlackRock. Marisa joined Compass Leadership Council in 2021.

Wendy is an SF native and passionate about her work as a Private Banker and the impact Compass has on the community. She has almost 20 years of experience in the financial services industry. Inspired by Compass' mission, she joined the Leadership Council in 2022.

Angelica was born and raised in the Bay Area and has a passion for helping people. She is extremely driven to have a positive influence on those around her and to make a difference in the work she does inside and outside of her job at Okta. Angelica started volunteering with Compass in early 2023 and has been a champion for us ever since.

Dustin began volunteering with Compass in 2015. He is also an Ambassador for the SF Chamber of Commerce and the SF Travel Association. Dustin joins Compass Leadership Council with experience in event planning, non-profit fundraising, and community engagement.

Gretchen Hollstein, CFP®, is a Senior Wealth Advisor and Managing Director with Litman Gregory Wealth Management. She has over 25 years of experience in her field, and is also a pro bono educator. She joined the Compass Leadership Council in January 2017.

Kate is a graduate from Santa Clara University. She is a member of Spinsters of San Francisco, a social nonprofit that provides funding for nonprofit partners in the community. Kate became involved with Compass in 2023 while serving as the Philanthropy Director of Spinsters during their partnership.

Min Shan is a Product Manager at BlackRock supporting their Aladdin technology. She joined Compass Leadership Council in 2021 inspired by Compass Family Services' mission of combating the issue of homelessness and housing insecurity.

Christine develops and implements Verizon’s local government and community affairs strategy, including: public policy, community engagement and philanthropy. She currently serves on the Board of Directors for the Museum of the African Diaspora.

Frank is an accomplished Senior Executive with more than 30 years experience. He has been involved with numerous nonprofits serving the homeless community and educational causes.

As Chief of Staff for the KPMG San Francisco office, Jeanne wears many hats. In addition to Community Impact Leader, she is a DEI Council champion, serves on the KPMG Network of Women (KNOW) leadership team, and co-leads the Culture Champions Network, promoting a positive office culture. Her passion for the community and the mission of Compass, inspired her to join the Leadership Council.

She was born and raised in LA and is passionate about ensuring everyone has a safe, stable, and positive living environment. She joined the Leadership Council in 2023 after connecting with our mission through volunteering events and Adopt-a-Family during the holidays.

Suzanne leads the fragrance division for the Lifestyles Brands that includes Mrs. Meyer's Clean Day, Method, Babyganics, and Ecover. She is also the philanthropic lead for the division of SCJ. Suzanne joined the Leadership Council in 2021.

Committees

Events and Outreach Committee
Plan and execute outreach events that promote and educate the public about Compass’ mission and work.


Corporate Engagement Committee
Plan and execute engagement activities that increase Compass’ visibility, relationships and support within the corporate community.


Volunteer Committee
Engage volunteers in Compass projects that are largely resourced and dependent on volunteers. This includes fundraising events and our annual Adopt-a-Family project during the holidays.
